In 1996 Seabourn Legend joined the Seabourn Fleet. The ship, like its sisters, was built in Bremerhaven, Germany at the Schichau Seebeckwerft shipyard. Originally launched as the Royal Viking Queen for the Royal Viking Line, she was rechristened by Linn Brynestad, Seabourn founder Atle Brynestad's wife.
Registered in the Bahamas, she carries 208 people per journey, providing the perfect crew to guest ratio for extraordinary onboard service. "The suites on the Seabourn Legend are a haven of sophisticated luxury." Every suite has modern conveniences and still maintains the "old world charm of ocean travel."
Dining aboard a Seabourn vessel is a unique experience. Under the guidance of celebrity chef Charlie Palmer, each ship delivers award-winning dining. ". From French fries to foie gras, every dish receives the expert attention of highly skilled and imaginative chefs." Choose between The Restaurant, The Verdana Café, The Sky Grill, the alfresco Sky Bar and of course the Deck Barbeque or the signature Caviar in the Surf beach parties. It's even possible to order from The Restaurant and have your dinner served, course by course in your suite. As always, there is never extra charges for any dining on a Seabourn cruise.
The Seabourn Legend offers cruises to the Mediterranean and the Caribbean. Due to the size of the ship, the intineraries include ports that many cruises ship are not able to sail to. "Explore the unspoiled hideaways of Cruz Bay, Prickly Pear, Tobago and Mayreau – idyllic settings that insiders love."
The Seabourn Legend is just one of six vessels sailing in the Seabourn fleet. "With their unmatched sense of style, elegance and grace, Seabourn ships beckon you to travel beyond the bounds of the imagination."
